_Ensemble]

THESE ARE THE INSURGENTS OF FLUXUS SONUS.

Each artist functions as an autonomous signal, carrying a distinct creative DNA and an unmistakable voice shaped by divergence, resistance, experimentation, and invention. Collectively, the ensemble represents decades of combined experience across electronic music, electroacoustics, field recording, experimental sound, sonic research, performance, technology, improvisation, and unconventional methods of listening and signal production.

This accumulated experience is not presented as hierarchy or authority. It is active material.

Every artist arrives with a different history of making, listening, breaking systems, building systems, and questioning the assumptions surrounding sound. Their practices intersect without becoming identical. Their differences are precisely what make the ensemble operational. What one artist discovers through field recording, another may encounter through circuitry, transcommunication, voice, noise, psychoacoustics, spatial perception, archival material, machine processes, or the unstable boundary between signal and interference.

This is where the ensemble becomes symbiotic with the basic operational principles of Fluxus Sonus.

The movement encompasses the full spectrum of sonic creation, from field recordings and EVP to transcommunication, signal capture, reasoning noise, queer sound, sonology of sex, microtonics, electroacoustic composition, experimental electronics, and forms of sound that resist conventional classification. All experimentation is valid. Nothing is accidental and nothing is excluded. Every act of sound-making can become intentional knowledge.

The ensemble therefore does not operate as a conventional collective in which individual identities dissolve into a unified aesthetic. Quite the opposite. Autonomy is the foundation of the system. Each artist retains their own language, methodology, history, and sonic intelligence while contributing to a larger field of exchange.

Their combined decades of experience create a living reservoir of techniques, mistakes, discoveries, instincts, obsessions, technologies, and unfinished questions. Fluxus Sonus activates that reservoir through interaction. Ideas collide. Signals migrate. Methods cross-pollinate. Old technologies encounter new conditions. Established practices are displaced, distorted, reassembled, and given another life.

Diversity of thought, approach, style, and creativity is therefore not simply a value. It is an operating principle.

That creativity arises through engagement with the language of our domain: EMULATION.

Emulation is not imitation. It is an active process of copying, transforming, remixing, mutating, translating, and reconfiguring signals in order to generate new forms, new meanings, and new futures for sound. A signal does not remain fixed once it enters the system. It is carried, altered, challenged, reproduced, corrupted, expanded, and transmitted again.

The ensemble exists inside that process.

Decades of individual experience become raw material for collective mutation. Autonomous voices become interconnected signals. Difference becomes energy. Experience becomes transmission. The archive becomes a laboratory.

FLUXUS SONUS DOES NOT ASK THE ENSEMBLE TO SOUND THE SAME.

IT ASKS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN DISTINCT SONIC INTELLIGENCES ENTER THE SAME SYSTEM. THE RESULT IS NOT CONSENSUS. IT IS SYMBIOSIS.

_Generational spectrum]

Fluxus Sonus participants operate as autonomous signals rather than a unified style. Each voice has developed proprietary techniques and a singular approach to music making, forming a personal sonic language shaped through experimentation and divergence. These languages emerge from the use of field recordings, granular processes, microtonal structures, and investigations into EVP, transcommunication, and reasoning noise. The wide range of ages among participants introduces layered perspectives and temporal sensitivities, allowing methods and philosophies to intersect across generations. As a result, Fluxus Sonus is defined not by consistency, but by a dense coexistence of distinct practices, each artist extending sound through their own evolving system of listening, construction, and intent.
