Adriano Canzian was born near Venice, Italy. At 19, he moved to Rome, where he studied sculpture, graphics, painting, and contemporary art.
In 1995 he began exhibiting in galleries across Rome, London, Paris, and New York. His early paintings often juxtaposed religious iconography with psychotropic imagery.
In 1996 he relocated to Paris and launched a parallel career as a music producer, creating work for fashion shows and experimental theater. In 2002 he signed with DJ Hell’s label International Gigolo Records, becoming the first Italian producer to join Helmut Geiger’s roster.
His 2003 debut single, Macho Boy, quickly became a cult favorite in fashion and advertising circles, with international magazines crediting him with pioneering a hybrid style described as Porno-Techno/New EBM. He followed with the 12″ My Boyfriend Is Very Sexy (2004) and his first album, PORNOGRAPHY (2005).
In 2007 he signed with David Carretta’s label Space Factory Records, releasing three EPs and his second album, METAMORPHOSIS, featuring collaborations with Terence Fixmer and others. A deluxe edition of PORNOGRAPHY followed in 2012 on the same label. Alongside these releases, he continued issuing self-productions via Bandcamp.
In 2013 he released Macho Boy Females Reworked Edition 2013 on 51BEATS Records. Two years later came his third album, ZOMBIES, and the Dangerous Mind EP on I-Traxx Recordings.
That same year he began collaborating with the duo Hard Ton, forming the project The Fool’s Stone. Their album ELEVEN was released in 2019, after which Canzian left the project due to artistic differences.
In 2018 he issued his fourth album, DAMNED, along with two EPs on the British label Icon Series. Over the past fifteen years he has also produced dozens of remixes for international artists and performed at major clubs worldwide.
He is currently working on his sixth album.
